About SEA Movement

Fighting to Preserve Siargao

"Many of our beaches are littered with trash which in turn pollutes the water and kills the sea life."-Siargao Local

We should not wait until our beaches perish

Siargao Environmental Awareness (SEA) Movement is a collaborative effort to help preserve the natural resources and beauty of the island which the local and the traveling community rely on for a simple yet beautiful life.

Acting as a hub to connect networks of people with unique skills in order to contribute to solving the island’s environmental problems.

SEA Movement initiates and executes environmental awareness and protection projects in partnership with various stakeholders with the goal of making Siargao Island the country’s leader in sustainable tourism

A united community empowered to protect our limited natural resources and committed to strive for sustainable development in order to maintain a healthy and clean environment that raises the quality of life of the present and future generation.

S.E.A. Movement is hosting a one-day Solid Waste Management Workshop with the 22 establishments that interestingly volunteered to oversee the management of the 45 high-quality trash bins turned over by the Provincial Government spearheaded by Cong. Franciso "Bingo" Matugas. These trash bins will not only cater the establishment's generated wastes but will also importantly serve the public's. The workshop will intend to educate the custodians on how are they gonna implement the segregation program in their scope of location effectively. If you are skillful enough to help S.E.A. Movement train the participants, volunteer with us and show how important it is to segregate, minimize, and handle our wastes.
